Day 3: What does a typical day look like for me?

A typical day depends on if I have to work or not. I am a nurse at a hospital so I work 12-hour day shifts. If it is a work day, I wake up at 5:15-5:30 AM. I let the pups out, make coffee sometimes, and pack a lunch if I made something the night before. I used to be really good at meal prepping and eating right. I let that go since the pandemic started to be honest. I need to get back to that. I, then get ready and leave by 6:05 AM (0605). It takes 50 minutes to get to work.

On my way to work, I try to decompress and get ready for my day. During this pandemic, it has been a lot harder for me to get prepared for what kind of day I will have. I just started a new position as a float pool RN. This means I will be going to different units in the hospital. I am excited to learn new things, but also ready for the pandemic to be over with. I head back home around 7:30 PM (1930). By the time I get home, I’m ready for a shower and sleep especially if I work the next day.

If I am off work for the day, I wake up around 8:30 AM (0830). That is me attempting to sleep in nowadays. I usually clean, cook, make sure bills are paid, preparing for school to start, etc. I have also been setting up rooms in the house. We just got here in October, so still decorating and figuring out which room is for. It’s a beautiful house right off the lake. It is peaceful. I can walk out to the back porch and just watch the water. It brings me such peace and relaxation.

As you can see, my life isn’t the most appealing. I don’t do much and there isn’t much excitement. Occasionally, I will go out to dinner with friends or my boyfriend. Other than that, I like to save money and make money.
