Day 2: Where do you see your in 10 years?

In 10 years, I will be 43 years old. I had a goal for myself to have my Nurse Practitioner by 35 years old and I will have achieved that. I did think by now I would have kids of my own and a family I came home to every evening.

In 10 years, I hope to be…..comfortable. I want to not stress about finances, my living situation, or other things that don’t really matter. There are so many things that happen in life that are out of our control. I just want to know that life is content. I want to know that I’m healthy, happy, and humbled. I want to have retirement set up and living freely with all the animals I want. I love animals so much. I want a huge lot of land where I can have a building built for the elderly dogs to chill and be happy.

If I have to have my grandparents or parents living with me, I want that also. I don’t want them to ever have to go to a nursing home. I want to take care of them in a home where they are happy also. COVID-19 made me see how much isolation away from your loved ones affect people so much. I never want that for my family. I hope to be with my lifetime partner also. I don’t want to worry about us breaking up or going through issues we cannot figure out together. At the age of 43 years old, I want to be comfortable in every aspect in life, including relationships.

If you haven’t noticed by now, mental health is my number one priority. Materialistic things are nothing without sharing them with someone. I want to sit on my front porch with a cup of coffee or glass of wine, breathing in life and all that I am grateful for. That is where I want to be in 10 years.
